Meet Our Doctors

Dr. James Drake, DMD

James G. Drake DMD (his friends call him J.D.) attended Ricks College, Idaho State University, and received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. In addition to enjoying all procedures in general dentistry, Dr. Drake is currently focusing his research on Cosmetics and Full Mouth Rehabilitation.  He uses lasers in treating cavities, gum infections, and cold sores. Dr. Drake co-founded a nationally recognized company that trains dental assistants (www.assisttosucceed.com) and has served the people of Haiti, China, and Tonga on outreach dental missions. 

Dr. Drake is a grateful husband to his wife, Jennifer, and father to their three very cute children. He was born and raised on a dairy farm in eastern Idaho and you may find him horseback any chance he gets. Dr. Drake has published a book about the human need for acceptance (Thirst) Currently and is proud to serve on the Board of Alpine 4-H Horse Camp. 

 

Dr. Brett Jacobson, DDS

Dr. Jacobson was enrolled at Ricks College and Idaho State University studying Biology when he decided to be a general dentist. After finishing his Bachelor’s degree, he was honored to be accepted into the  Idaho Dental Education Scholarship Program and graduated from Creighton Dental school in 1996. During dental school, he received awards for both academic and clinical excellence as well as being named to the Dean’s list. Dr. Jacobson enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry and has completed advanced training in Orthodontics, Implants, Sedation, and Cosmetic Dentistry for Adults.    For more than 20 years Dr. Jacobson has donated his time as a dentist evaluator in an organization called Clinicians Report that tests the effectiveness of dental products and procedures.  His research results, along with other dentists, are published in a worldwide monthly newsletter. Many patients comment on Dr. Jacobson’s gentle nature and how he thoroughly explains the treatment options he recommends for them to achieve their ideal smile. Dr. Jacobson is even available to treat patients in both Park West Dental Care locations.   

Dr. Jacobson’s greatest accomplishment in life was marrying his college sweetheart, Melani, and raising their six children together here in Idaho Falls.   He also enjoys camping, spending time with family, playing with their grandchildren, and traveling to new destinations.   Dr. Jacobson’s motto is to “live life to its fullest in happiness and health ”  and that is what he desires for his dental patients, friends, and family.  He loves doing dentistry, getting to know his patients, and helping them be happy as well.

 

Dr. Ronald L. Fuller

Dr. Ronald L. Fuller was born in Syracuse, New York. When he was ten years old he and his family moved to southern Utah where he attended Dixie High School, Dixie State University and Southern Utah University. While attending Dixie State University he met and married his wife Tina. He received his dental degree from Loyola University Chicago in 1992. Dr. Fuller has spent 21 years in the Indian Health Service, as an Officer of the United States Public Health Service, doing dentistry in South Dakota, Alaska, New Mexico, and Wisconsin. He spent nine months of long term training at the University of Washington in Seattle prior to returning to South Dakota and retiring to private practice. For the last five years he has practiced as an associate in Ainsworth, Nebraska.

His family has grown throughout his professional career. It now includes six children. One born in Utah that is married and lives in Wisconsin, two born in Illinois that are married and live in the Rexburg area, one born in South Dakota that also lives in the Rexburg area, two children born in Wisconsin a stillborn and a 15 year old daughter attending North Fremont High School in Ashton, ID where Dr. Fuller and his family now reside.

Dr. Fuller comes to Idaho to spend time with eight of his ten grandchildren and 4 of his 5 living children. His hobbies are learning to fly fish, family history, and aviation. He loves spending time with family and friends and looks forward to serving you at Park West Dental Center

Dr. Jennifer Aaberg

Dr. Jennifer Aaberg attended the University of Wyoming to study Mathematics and Chemistry but knew she wanted to be a dentist since the age of 14. She achieved that goal with high remarks and received her dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine with honors.

Dr. Aaberg loves working with patients of all ages, and is passionate about building an individual’s confidence through a healthy, beautiful smile. She also enjoys utilizing all procedures of general dentistry in order to build these beautiful smiles. Many patients remark on Dr. Aaberg’s thoroughness during her exams and procedures, and appreciate the time she takes to explain their comprehensive treatment.

Dr. Aaberg is married and has been with her husband for more than 10 years. When not performing or researching dentistry, you can find Dr. Aaberg hunting and fishing with her husband and their puppy.
