First Visit

As your preferred Idaho Falls, ID dental care provider, we make sure that at Park West Dental, every visit to our office is streamlined and stress-free. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early with your driver’s license, medication list, and insurance card in hand so that you can fill out patient registration forms at your leisure. You can also download them online, fill them out ahead of time, and bring them in with you.

For adults, we reserve 90 minutes for a complete exam, which includes the following:

  • A tour of our state-of-the-art office
  • A review of your health history
  • X-rays when necessary
  • Imaging
  • Hygiene evaluation
  • A comprehensive examination and full cleaning

Idaho Falls dentists, Drs. Drake and Jacobson, will walk you through their findings and work closely with you to create a dental plan designed to meet your unique oral health goals.

Youth appointments, ages 14-18, are typically 60 minutes long and children’s appointments (younger than 14) are 30 minutes long. Child exams should begin at about 3 years old unless the parent notices something unusual with their child’s teeth. The first visit may be a “happy visit” where the child gets to explore the dentist office to get comfortable. If your child is ready during their first appointment, they will get their teeth brushed and counted, receive a prize, a new toothbrush, and a ride in the dentist chair!
